九年级英语期中知识点：定语从句
定语从句由关系代词wh、wh、whse、which、what、as和关系副词where、when、wh等引导，但须记住：
1.what不能引导定语从句.
2.关系词的分析须考虑它在定语从句中的'成分。
一.指人的关系代词有wh、whse、wh、that. 试分析：
The ld an wh/wh /that we visited esterda is a faus artist.
Miss Wang is taing care f the child whse parents have gne t Beiing .
The an with wh father sh hands ust nw is ur headaster. (=The an wh/wh that father sh hands with ust nw is ur headaster.)注：
A． 指人时有时只用wh不宜用that。
1．先行词为ne、nes或anne
(1)The crade I want t learn fr is the ne wh studies hard and wrs hard.
(2)Anne wh breas the law shuld be punished.
2．先行词为these时
These wh are ging t Beiing are the best students f ur schl.
3．在there be 开头的句子中
There is a student wh wants t see u.
4．一个句子中带有两个定语从句，其中一个定语从句的关系代词是that，另一个宜用wh，以免重复。
The student that wn the first prize is the nitr wh wrs hards.
5．在非限制性定语从句中
A.I et a friend f ine in the street, wh had ust ce fr apan.
B.主句以wh开头的句子中,只用that,不用wh。
二．指物的关系代词有which、whse(=f which)、that. 试分析：
1. I lie the bs which / that were written b Lu Xun.
2. The dess (which/that) we ade last ear were ver gd.
3. This is the huse in which we lived last ear. (= This is the huse which /that we lived in last ear.)
4. I live in the r whse windws face suth. (= I live in the r ,the windws f which face suth.)
注：
A. 介词如果位于作为其宾语的关系代词之前时，只能用wh、 which不能用wh或that.
(1). The girl abut wh the were taling is ur nitr.
(2). The b in which there are an interesting things was written b Li Ming.
B. 部分短语动词中的介词不可与动词拆开，在定语从句中其介词不可前置，只能放在其动词之后。
Is this the b which she is ling fr?
The ld an wh/wh the are waiting fr is Prfessr Li.
The child wh/wh she is ling after is Wang Ping’s sn.
