The lion was amused at these words.He thought“How could this little mouse help me?” Howeverhe lifted up his paws and let him go.
A few days laterthe lion was caught in a trap .The hunters wanted to take him alive to the kingso they tied him to a treeand went away to look for a wagon .
Just then the little mouse passed byand saw the sad lion.The little mouse went up to himand soon gnawed away the ropes.“Though I’m smallI can help youtoo” said the little mouse.
