端午节英语作文(一)

在我们家乡有一种这样的传统。端午节要用艾叶拿去洗干净，之后把它挂在房间门口和大门上是为了驱蚊。把艾叶放在门口的话就一个夏天都不用点蚊香了，在我的家乡那里的农民婆婆们都可以把它挂在门口，家家户户都有挂。
还有我们端午节的时候我们的爷爷奶奶都用粽叶把红豆，糯米包在了一起，包的很结实。一个个粽子放入锅中。大约要过30多分钟才有那种人口即香的味道。

每当这一天来临的时侯，人们总是要把红、黄、蓝、白、黑五色丝线系在儿童个脖颈、手腕或足踝上，称为长命缕——我想是想让孩子们长命百岁吧!各家要插“五端、菖蒲、艾草、石榴花、蒜头、龙船花。”
怪不得一到端午节，奶奶就去菜市场买许多艾草和蒜泥，在中午12：00时放在太阳底下晒，说艾草、蒜泥能消毒，还在家中用艾草煮。我想：端午节的风俗可真多呀!
