  The fountains mingle with the river

  And the rivers with the ocean,

  The winds of heaven mix for ever

  With a sweet emotion;

  甜蜜涌动;

  Nothing in the world is single,

  All things by a law divine

  In one another’s being mingle—

  Why not I with thine?

  See the mountains kiss high heaven

  And the waves clasp one another;

  朵朵浪花相依相拥;

  No sister-flower would be forgiven

  If it disdain’d its brother;

  不嫌弃彼此;

  And the sunlight clasps the earth,

  And the moonbeams kiss the sea—

  What are all these kissings worth,

  If thou kiss not me?

  3、I Love You

  I neither need to know your age

  nor need to know your name

  but need to know that you have

  a heart as mine between sky and earth

  beating on the desolate wilds

  in the sky with yellow alarms

  and on the hills with spraying magma

  echoing with the pulses of the sea

  with the calling of snow mountains

  and with the silent shouts

  resounding together with the hearts

  of tens of thousands of people

  4、Windflowers

  Windflowers,windflowers

  my father told me not to go

  near them

  He said he feared them always

  and he told me that they

  carried him away

  Windflowers,beartiful

  windflowers

  I couldnt wait to touch them

  to smell them I held them

  closely

  And now I cannot break away

  Their sweet bouquet disappears

  like the vapor in the desert

  So take a warning ,son

  Windflowers ,ancient

  windflowers

  their beauty capture every

  young dreamer

  who lingers near them

  But ancient windflowers,

  I love you

  5、If 如果

  If you can keep your head when all about you

  Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;

  If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,

  But make allowance for their doubting too;

  If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,

  Or, being lied about,dont deal in lies,

  Or, being hated, dont give way to hating,

  And yet dont look too good, nor talk too wise;

  If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;

  If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;

  If you can meet with triumph and disaster

  And treat those two impostors just the same;

  If you can bear to hear the truth youve spoken

  Twiseted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

  Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,

  And stoop and build em up with wornout tools;

  If you can make one heap of all your winnings

  And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,

  And lose, and start again at your beginnings

  And never breathe a word about your loss;

  If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew

  To serve your turn long after they are gone,

  And so hold on when there is nothin in you

  Except the Will which says to them:"Hold on!";

  If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,

  Or walk with Kings -nor lose the common touch;

  If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;

  If all men count with you, but none too much;

  If you can fill the unforgiving minute

  With sixty second worth of distance run -

  Yours is the Earth and everything thats in it,

  And - which is more - youll be a Man my son!

  你仍能保持头脑情形;

  你仍能坚信自己,让所有的怀疑动摇;

  不要太乐观,不要自以为是;

  如果你是个追梦人——不要被梦主宰;

  如果你是个爱思考的人——光想会达不到目标;

  把两者当骗子看待;

  被恶棍扭曲,用于蒙骗傻子;

  然后俯身,用破烂的工具把它修补;

  不要抱怨你的失败;

  只有意志告诉你“坚持!”;

  伴王行走,能保持距离;

  如果仇敌和好友都不害你;

  如果所有人都指望你,却无人全心全意;

  6、The Pride of Youth

  Singing so rarely.

  when shall I marry me?”

  -“when six braw gentlemen

  kirkward shall carry ye.”

  “who makes the bridal bed,

  birdie, say truly?”

  -“The gray-headed sexton

  That delves the grave duly.

  “The glowworm o’er grave and stone

  Shall light thee steady;

  The owl from the steeple sing,

  Welcome, proud lady.”

  踩着晨曦;

  The skin of your cheeks will tan

  You’ll grow ragged and weary and swarthy,

  My body? Oh, if I could choose,

  To ashes I’d let it reduce,

  And let the merry breeze blow

  Perhaps some fading flowers then 也许有些正在凋谢的花儿

  Would come to life and bloom again.

  This is my last and final will, 这便是我最后的遗愿

  Good luck to all of you!

  10、Trees

  I think that I shall J.Kilmernever see

  A poem lovely as a tree.

  A tree whose hungry mouth is prest

  against the earths sweet flowing breast;

  A tree that looks at God all day,

  And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

  A tree that may in summer wear

  A nest of robins1 in her hair;

  Upon whose bosom2 snow has lain;

  Who intimately lives with the rain.

  Poems are made by fools like me,

  But only God can make a tree.

  紧压在大地甘美而流畅的乳房上;

  举起枝叶繁茂的手臂来祈祷;

  戴着一窝知更鸟在头发上;

  雪花堆积在她的怀抱里;

  11、The Spirit Wooed

  by Philip Larkin

  Once I believed in you,

  And then you came,

  Unquestionably new, as fame

  Had said you were. But that was long ago.

  You launched no argument,

  Yet I obeyed,

  Straightaway, the instrument you played

  Distant Down sidestreets, keeping different time,

  And never questioned what

  You fascinate

  In me; if good or not, the state

  You pressed towards. There was no need to know.

  Grave pristine absolutes

  Walked in my mind:

  So that I was not mute, or blind,

  As years before or since. My only crime

  Was holding you too dear.

  Was that the cause

  You daily came less near—a pause

  Longer than life, if you decide it so?

  As an image of tree I stand with you. Our roots hold tightly in the earth,

  Our leaves touch gently In the clouds,

  As each breeze passes, we salute each other,

  But no one can understand our own words.

  You have your iron trunk and copper branch

  Like a knife, a sword and a halberd as well; 像刀,像剑,也像戟;

  I have my red and big flowers,

  Like a heavy sigh and a heroic torch as well.

  Together we partake cold waves, storms and firebolts; 我们分担寒潮、风雷、霹雳;

  Together we share fogs, flowing hazes and rainbows,

  We seem always apart, but interdependent all life long. Only this is great love, 这才是伟大的爱情, Faithfulness lies here: 坚贞就在这里:

  life . . . and I will!

  14、Dream Of A Day

  When I was a little girl,I always dreamed of this day,I knew the words off by heart,I knew exactly what I would say.

  And I imagined my Daddy,walking me down that aisle,I could see the look on his face,I could see the pride in his smile.

  But life doesnt always run to plan,I guess thats plain to see,and some things just go and happen,some things are just meant to be.

  But this is meant to be a happy day,happier for others than for some,and I just wanted to share some thoughts,because I wanted to tell you about my Mom:

  My mother has been my inspiration,she has guided me throughout my life,and there are some words that I need to say,especially now that Im a wife :)

  Youve always been there for me,just when I needed you the most,and in a moment, well drink to you,in a moment, to you we shall raise a toast.

  Because you have shown me what love is for,and the love that two people can have for one another,you have shown me how to be a devoted wife,and of course, how to be a wonderful mother.

  Those six years were very tough,but thats just when the tough got going,and you showed Dad all of your love,and gee, you did a lot of showing !

  Even though youve lost the love of your life,(and this is one of those meaningful rhymes),The Lord will give you all of His strength,to get you through your more difficult times.

  And I will also always be there for you,if you ever need a shoulder or a helping hand,divided we shall fall and be conquered,but together and united we will make a stand.

  And if you need someone to just sit and listen,then Ill be there just for you,because after everything youve done for me,this is the very least that I can do.

  Today, I felt my fathers spirit,I could feel him proudly looking on,I could feel his love for us all,I could feel where his love brightly shone.

  He just wants you to be happy,I know this from deep inside my heart,and he knows that he will love you forever,and he knows that youll never truly part.

  And all that he will ever wish,and this my dearest wish too,is that I have such a wonderful marriage,and that Im loved as much as he loved you.

  And today, my Daddys spirit was with me,and he did indeed walk me down that aisle,and I imagined the look upon his face,and yes, it was a very proud smile.

  16、Against Love

  Hence Cupid! with your cheating toys,

  Your real griefs, and painted joys,

  Your pleasure which itself destroys.

  Lovers like men in fevers burn and rave,

  And only what will injre them do crave1.

  Mens weakness makes love so severe,

  They give him power by their fear,

  And make the shackles2 which they wear.

  Who to another does his heart submit,

  Makes his own idol,and then worships it.

  Him whose heart is all his own,

  Peace and liberty does crown,

  He apprehends3 no killing4 frown.

  He feels no raptures5 which are joys diseased,

  And is not much transported,but still pleased.

  17、Spring

  Spring, the sweet spring, is the years pleasant king;

  Then blooms each thing, then maids dance in a ring,

  Cold doth not sting, the pretty birds do sing,

  Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!

  The palm and may make country houses gay,

  Lambs frisk and play, the shepherds pipe all day,

  And we hear aye birds tune this merry lay,

  Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!

  The fields breathe sweet, the daisies kiss our feet,

  Young lovers meet, old wives a sunning sit,

  In every street these tunes our ears do greet,

  Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!

  Spring! the sweet Spring!

  In many ways, I feel that Im living my dream, I am luck。

  Sometimes the dreams weve when were younger,

  well, life may push it in another direction。

  And at last we actively pursue our dreams we have to adjust。

  After all, your dream wont often pursue you,

  you have to cherish your dream and make it come true。

  Perhaps compromising a little is good, perhaps it matters to try different things。

  We have to go through that positive limitations。

  For example, I tried to be a salesman, and I tried to be an invent manager。

  Finally I found the place I can grow is help others。

  Everyone has a dream, the question is can you make yours reality!

  Lightning that mocks the night,

  Brief even as bright.

  明天就会枯萎;

  Virtue, how frail it is!

  Friendship how rare! Love, how it sells poor bliss For proud despair! But we, though soon they fall, Survive their joy, and all Which ours we call.

  a smile to be a sign of my joy in existence.

  眼泪使我体会心碎之人的忧伤;

  i would rather that i died in yearning and longing than that i live weary and despairing.

  i want the hunger for love and beauty to be in the

  depths of my spirit,for i have seen those who are

  satisfied the most wretched of people.

  i have heard the sigh of those in yearning and longing, and it is sweeter than the sweetest melody.

  There are gains for all our losses.

  There are balms for all our pain;

  我们所有的痛苦都能得到安慰;

  But when youth,the dream,departs

  It takes something from our hearts,

  And it never comes again.

  We are stronger, and are better,

  Under manhoods sterner reign;

  在严峻的成年生活驱使下;

  Still we feel that something sweet

  Following youth, with flying feet,

  And will never come again.

  Something beautiful is vanished,

  And we sigh for it in vain;

  我们枉自为此叹息;

  We behold it everywhere,

  On the earth, and in the air,

  But it never comes again!

  No young man believes he will ever die.

  It was a saying of my brothers, and a fine one.

  There is a feeling of eternity in youth,

  which makes us amend for everything.

  To be young is to be as one of the immortal Gods.

  One half of time indeed is flown,

  the other half remains in store for us with all its countless treasures,

  for there is no line drawn,and we see no limit to our hopes and wishes.

  We make the coming age our own-the vast, the unbounded prospect lies before us.

  Death, old age are words without a meaning that pass by us like the idle air which we regard not.

  Others may have undergone, or may still be liable to them-we “bear a charmed life”,

  which laughs to scorn all such sickly fancies.

  As in setting out on delightful journey,

  We strain our eager gaze forward-bidding the lovely scenes at distance hail!

  And see no end to the landscape, new objects presenting themselves as we advance.

  So, in the commencement of life,

  We set no bounds to our inclinations,

  Nor to the unrestricted opportunities of gratifying them.

  We have as yet found no obstacle, no disposition to flag;

  And it seems that we can go on so forever.

  We look round in a new world,full of life, and motion, and ceaseless progress;

  我们看到四周一派新天地—生机盎然,变动不居,日新月异;

  And feel in ourselves all the vigor and spirit to keep pace with it,

  And do not foresee from any present symptoms how we shall be left behind in the natural course of things, decline into old age, and drop into the grave.

  It is the simplicity,

  And as it were abstractedness of our feelings in youth, that identifies us with nature,

  可以说是茫然无知,因而将自己跟大自然划上等号;

  And deludes us into a belief of being immortal like it.

  29、The Pride of Youth

  Proud Maisie is in the wood,Walking so early;

  Sweet Robin sits on the bush,Singing so rarely.

  “tell me ,thou bonny bird,when shall I marry me?”

  “when six braw gentlemen

  kirkward shall carry ye.”

  “who makes the bridal bed,birdie, say truly?”

  “The gray-headed sexton

  That delves the grave duly.

  “The glowworm o’er grave and stone

  Shall light thee steady;

  The owl from the steeple sing,Welcome, proud lady.”

  骄傲的梅西漫步林间,踩着晨曦;
