“英语嘉年华”，看到这个词语，大家一定多少有点奇怪吧，其实，英语嘉年华是我们学校组织的一次英语活动，好像“英语角”。在这个活动中，有好玩的游戏，好吃的食品，还有可能得到精美的小礼品。参加这个活动，要读一段英语短文才能进入活动现场，并且在整个活动中必须说英语。
当我和同伴们费了九牛二虎之力读完一篇英语短文，才得以进入中西结合餐厅，本以为可以安心享用美食了，却因为餐厅菜谱上的单词不会说，说了几句汉语，被“服务员”下了“逐客令”，离开餐厅时，有人阴阳怪气的说：“我们是中国人，难道还不让说中国话？”话虽这样说，我们也只能看不能吃，恋恋不舍地离开了餐厅。看来真的要增加词汇量了呀！
如果说我印象最深刻的是中西结合餐厅，那么最有趣的就是猜谜语了。
谜语的短文倒是很简单，可是当我们开始猜谜语时都傻了眼，上面的单词、句子很多都不认识，翻来覆去，找了一张我大部分能翻译出来的，可谁知其中最重要的单词不会翻译，只能再选一个了。这次，我一个个认真地选，哇！终于看到了一个我会的―――Ｔhis is a animal，has a big and black glass。（这是一只动物，戴一付大大的黑黑的眼镜）。我的脑海里一下出现了大熊猫那憨态可掬的神态―――ｐａｎｄａ。我猜对了，获得一枚小印章，可以换取小礼物了呢。
这次的`“英语嘉年华”活动让我们学会了有自信地开口说英语，让我们在欢乐中学习，我爱“英语嘉年华”。
