读了这本小说以后，我觉得遇到困难不要轻易气馁，要乐观，要努力奋斗，坚持下去，这样才能成功。汤姆在充满阳光的生活里告诉我们，只要有梦想，并且努力去追求，美梦便可以成真。终有一天，我们的天性可以自由自在的发挥，创造出一片我们自己的空间。我觉得汤姆天真活泼，自由自在，但总有缺点，就是他太让别人操心了，特别是他的姨妈，为了他，经常担惊受怕，可汤姆却不明白一个家长对于孩子的苦心，是不让他受到伤害，让他健康地成长，这点需要我们引以为戒。不过我还是比较欣赏他对外面一切事物的好奇心和想象力，而且大胆尝试，机智勇敢，向往自由，向往未来，这不得不让人赞叹。
