Since we entered Senior 3, every one of us has been striving to be admitted into an ideal university. And after a term of hard work, most of us are on the way to success. However, some of us feel mentally and physically exhausted without making any progress. Therefore, I’d like to share with you my advice.
To begin with, since last September, I have already got used to the pace of Senior 3, and I know when, what and even where to study during different periods of the day. But if you still bother yourself with these issues, a schedule is urgent. Of course, don’t just copy your desk mate’s. You have to adjust it to your own studies.
In addition, whenever I begin to study, I’ll focused on it for at least one and a half hours. That means concentration and efficiency. If I meet with some problems while studying, I never hesitate to refer to the teachers and parents. They are obviously more experienced than me. I strongly believe that with combined efforts, anything can be achieved.
Last but not least, I set aside some time for physical exercise regularly. Of course, exciting sports are not suitable for us Senior 3 students. Always bear in mind that the only purpose is to relax and get yourself refreshed. Then you are fully prepared for the next period of work.

In our modern society, there is often a lack of understanding between parents and children. Parents dislike what their children think and do, while children often complain that their parents cannot understand them. This is often called generation gap.
There are some reasons for the existence of generation gap. First, the
environment in which young people are now living is quite different from that of their parents. Therefore, they often hold different opinions on various problems in life. Second, difference in age also leads to misunderstanding. Young people want to do everything they like, while old people can’t help interfering when they think what the young people are doing is wrong. This inevitably leads to disagreement.
In my opinion, generation gap can be bridged as long as both parents and children are willing to make efforts. They may have an open talk and tell each other what they think about certain problems. They should be considerate enough to realize that each generation has its own advantages and disadvantages. Their openness and consideration probably will result in a much better relationship between parents and children.

As we all know, forms of physical exercise vary according to different tastes. For example,javelin,shot and throwing can strengthen your arms .The 100-meter race and 1500_meter race can strengthen your legs and your exercise.
However,the forms of exercise must be carefulily chosen.If you are too fat you may want to choos jogging.It can help you become slim. Anyhow, we should exercise regularly and wisely.

The year 2006 witnesses a great change in the examination system in Shanghai. Any Shanghai candidate can be admitted into two famous universities Fudan or Jiao Tong University as long as he/she passes both the wriiten examinationg and interview, which cover a wide range of knownledge required in middle school, though they still need to take the ‘last examinations’ which are no longer important.
The reason why the two universities have changed their traditional methods of enrolling new students, I think, is that they want more students with real talents. As we know, the National College Entrance Examination sometimes may not be able to fully test a student’s ability in communication, organizationg or even study. What’s more, a person of full-scale knownledge is not in their class may lack independent thinking and creativity.
The reform of enrolling college students is a sign to us students:we should widen our vision, be active in thinking in order to survive in the competitive society.

I prefer to choose a term paper for my term examination to the traditional one
Though writing a term paper takes two weeks, which is much longer than the two-hour examination in a classroom, I think writing a term paper is more flexible because you can choose whatever topic you are interested in By doing research on the topic, you need to go to the library, log on the Internet and consult your teacher for the information concerned, you will have a deeper insight into this area, and of course a wider scope of knowledge. Furthermore, you don’t have the pressure of time because you can finish the paper in your spare time. In other words. You can schedule your term paper at your own pace. You can also learn how to arrange all the information you have collected and you will become a more systematic and more independent learner.
In conclusion, the term paper is not only an exciting alternative to examine a student’s ability, but a tool that can motivate a student to study in depth.
