在老家的时候，我和妈妈很闲，就养了一只小鸭玩。我招来所有伙伴，一起找纸箱，给小鸭做了个大豪宅，有窗户、门和一个小袖珍池塘，这可把它给乐坏了，它匆匆窜进屋，嘎嘎叫个不停。
我的小鸭很乖，但很贪吃。早上，它就睡大觉，腿弯曲，像一个小毛团，大概是养足了精神，下午它就像变了个人似的，大吃大喝，吃饱了没事干，还快步到别人家里找别的小鹅小鸡玩，通常要几个小时后才回家。它每天除了睡觉、吃食，就是玩耍。
夜里，小鸭子睡得可死了，多么使劲地叫它，它也无动于衷，像一个小孩子。但是，夏天的时候，它别想再安宁了，蚊子叮得它嘎嘎直叫，顶尖锐，顶凄惨，我不得不前去灭虫。
很快，它便大了许多，腿有力了，翅膀丰满了，连游泳都能跟邻家的鹅比高低了。但糟糕的是，它变得顽皮了，在院子里四处拉大便小便，可把我忙坏了。但我却怎么也舍不得打它，它是那么天真，那么楚楚动人。它饭量变得更让人吃惊了，别说吃个一把饭，连五把饭它都吃得下，有时还挺着大大的`肚子，四处炫耀自己多么幸福。
