寒假的英语日记【篇一】
January 20 XX XX XX X weather day week
Yesterday was New Year's eve, I'm happy, because every day, snacks to eat, TV to look, how nice!
Yesterday afternoon, in come to my house to play. We watched TV and went to play the computer. The snacks are in six at seven o 'clock, I hold out, eat up.

昨天是除夕，我可开心了，因为每到这天，零食随便吃，电视随便看，真好!
昨天下午，中中来我家玩。我们看了会儿电视，又去玩起了电脑。到了六七点钟，我把零食捧出来，跟中中大吃起来。
晚上，春节联欢晚会开始了。我洗了澡，换了衣服，缩在沙发上的被窝里，暖暖和和地跟爸爸妈妈看起了电视。
这时，我们看的是新闻频道。看完一个相声，就开始了没完没了的采访。我正纳闷为啥不表演，妈妈就建议：“看看一台。”爸爸听了，连忙换台，一看，联欢会已经开始了!爸爸闹了个大红脸 。
我最喜欢的节目是小品和相声，不过，这次我最爱的节目是《五官新说》和变魔术。《五官新说》里边的什么“酒后专线”、改了词的《北京欢迎您》，让我笑破了肚皮;那几个魔术，让我眼花缭乱，还有《不差钱》等小品、相声，把联欢会衬托得更加精彩。
我喜欢这个夜晚，因为它一年才有一次呀!

从前，有一种奇怪的'野兽，叫做"年"，特别凶。一到冬去春来的时候就出来，不是伤害人就是损坏庄稼，有时还叨走人们养的猪呀、羊呀。闹得人心惶惶，人人害怕。
有一位勇敢的老人，想了一个巧妙的办法：在院内堆起木柴，在大门外摆上桌子，放上猪头、牛头、羊头和狗头，还有香喷喷的美酒，就狂奔而来，张开血盆大口吃喝起来，想美美地饱餐一顿。就在这个时候人们点着了柴堆，敲起罗鼓，放起鞭炮。火光冲天罗声、鞭炮声、人们的叫喊声，响成一片。"年"不知道是怎么回事，被吓得连滚带爬地逃走了。再也不敢出来祸害老百姓了。
从此，每到这个时候，人们都燃烟火，敲起锣，放鞭炮，来庆祝赶走"年"的日子。渐渐的，就形成了"过年"的风俗，一直流传到现在。
